About this quiz

In April 2026 a joke personality test from a Chinese video creator went wildly viral. It borrowed the famous four-letter format of MBTI-style tests, swapped the serious labels for brutally relatable self-roasts, and spread almost entirely through screenshots. Within days it was everywhere, with searches and posts about it running into the millions, and most people took it to send their result to a friend with the caption "this is literally you." The creator said openly that it was made for fun, not science, which is exactly why people loved it.

This page is our original English tribute to that idea. Every question, type and description here was written from scratch for an English-speaking audience, and the site is not affiliated with the original creator or any mirror site. Our SBTI stands for the Super Based Type Indicator, and it is proudly, deliberately unserious.

Under the memes there is a real little algorithm. Your answers fill six vibe meters: social battery, grind level, mouth filter, feelings volume, order and optimism. Each meter lands on low, medium or high, and the result is compared with 16 type blueprints. The closest blueprint wins, and you see how close it was as a match percentage, plus how many meters hit exactly. If none of the 16 fits well enough, the system gives up and hands you the fallback type, 404 Personality Not Found. There is also one hidden type that only a very specific pair of answers can unlock. We are not saying it involves a fern. We are not not saying it.

Read your result like a horoscope written by your funniest friend: a compliment, a gentle roast, a soulmate type and a nemesis. Then send it to the group chat and start the argument.

How it works

  1. Answer all 15 questions with your first, most honest reaction. The weird ones count too.
  2. Get your type, match percentage and six vibe meters instantly in your browser.
  3. Open your soulmate and nemesis types, then share your result and make your friends take it.

FAQ

What does SBTI stand for?

On this site it stands for the Super Based Type Indicator. The original Chinese meme test used an acronym that was a cheeky pun, which does not translate politely, so our English tribute uses its own clean name.

Is this the original SBTI test?

No. It is an original English tribute inspired by the format of the viral Chinese meme test. All questions and type descriptions were written for this site, and we are not affiliated with the original creator, any mirror site, or the Myers-Briggs Company.

How is the match percentage calculated?

Each of your six meters is scored low, medium or high and compared with every type blueprint. The distance between you and the closest blueprint becomes the percentage: 100% means every meter matched exactly. If the best match is 67% or lower, you get the 404 fallback type.

Is there really a hidden type?

Yes. One secret type skips the normal matching entirely and is unlocked by a specific combination of two answers. Hint: think green, and think about who you say good morning to.

Is the SBTI test accurate?

It is a meme, not a psychological assessment. The scoring is consistent, so the same answers always give the same type, but the types are jokes designed to be relatable and shareable, not a scientific measure of personality.

Do you store my answers?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser and your answers never leave your device. Your latest result may be saved locally so you can see it again, and you can retake the test as often as you like.

For entertainment only. The SBTI test on this site is an original parody, not a psychological assessment. It is not affiliated with the creator of the original Chinese SBTI meme test, or with the Myers-Briggs Company.
