About this quiz

"Delulu" is internet shorthand for delusional, but the loving version. It started in K-pop fan communities, where it described fans who were sure their favorite idol would notice them, and spread across TikTok as a cheerful word for believing in something slightly unrealistic. Its unofficial motto, "delulu is the solulu", means that a bit of fantasy can be the solution: if you believe the dream job, the crush or the comeback is possible, you are more likely to go after it.

This delulu test measures how much of your life runs on that energy. Twelve everyday situations (a story view from your crush, a smiley face on a coffee cup, a 90% rain forecast on picnic day) each give you a choice between grounded and gloriously deluded. Every answer adds delulu points, and the total fills your delulu meter from 0 to 100%.

Your score lands in one of six tiers: Painfully Realistic, Lightly Seasoned Delulu, Certified Daydreamer, Manifestation Major, Main Character Syndrome and, at the very top, Final Boss Delulu. Each tier comes with a portrait, a gentle roast, your most delulu answers and a "delulu prescription": a small piece of advice on whether you need more fantasy in your life or a friend with a calendar.

There is no right score. Too little delulu and you might talk yourself out of good things; too much and you might plan a wedding after a door was held open. Most people sit happily in the middle. Answer with your gut, not your best self, and then send it to the friend you already know is a final boss.

How it works

  1. Answer 12 everyday situations with your honest gut reaction.
  2. Get your delulu percentage, your tier and your most delulu moves.

FAQ

What does delulu mean?

Delulu is slang for delusional, used playfully. It describes believing in an unlikely outcome, like a celebrity crush noticing you, often with self-aware humor. "Delulu is the solulu" jokes that this optimism can be the solution.

How is my delulu percentage calculated?

Each answer is worth 0 to 3 delulu points. Your total places you in one of six tiers, and the meter shows where you sit within that tier on a 0-100% scale.

Is being delulu a bad thing?

Not in this quiz. A little delulu means hope, confidence and imagination. The result only warns you when fantasy starts replacing real plans, like confirming dates that were never confirmed.

Is the delulu test free and private?

Yes. It is free, takes about two minutes, needs no sign-up, and your answers never leave your device.

Why did my score change when I retook it?

Changing even two or three answers can move you a tier. That is part of the fun: try it on a hopeful Friday and again on a Monday morning.

For entertainment only. This quiz uses "delulu" as playful internet slang and is not a psychological or mental-health assessment.
