About this quiz
Some people walk into a room and the energy shifts. Some people push a door marked PULL. Most of us are both. This aura color quiz turns your everyday instincts — how you handle a party full of strangers, a friend's bad day or someone cutting in line — into one of eight aura colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink or gold. As a bonus, it tallies your aura points, the internet's favorite way of scoring how effortlessly cool a moment was.
The idea of a colored aura, a glow of energy around each person, shows up in many spiritual traditions and became popular in Western New Age culture in the 20th century. The color meanings used here follow that modern aura lore: red for passion, blue for calm, purple for intuition and so on. It is worth being clear: there is no scientific evidence that people emit visible colored auras. Kirlian photography, invented by Semyon Kirlian in 1939 and often cited as "aura photos," captures an electrical corona discharge that changes with moisture and pressure, not personality. So treat your aura color as a fun mirror for your vibe, not a measurement.
"Aura points" are newer. The slang took off on TikTok in 2024 as a joke scoring system: plus points for a smooth comeback, minus points for waving back at someone who wasn't waving at you. Your result gives you both — your aura color with its strengths, blind spots, love, work and friendship vibes and best matches, plus your aura points and rank. Answer with your first instinct, then send it to the friend whose aura you have always suspected.
