Year of the Rat · The Quick-Witted Strategist

Portrait of the Rat

Legend says the Rat won the Jade Emperor's Great Race by hitching a ride on the Ox and hopping off at the finish line. That tells you everything: Rats are resourceful, observant and allergic to wasted effort. You spot the shortcut, the bargain and the loophole while other people are still reading the rules.

Socially you are charming in a quick, sparkly way, and you remember everyone's name, coffee order and secret. Under the charm sits a planner with an emergency fund, a backup plan and a backup plan for the backup plan.
