The Sloth
400 ms or more. Zen master, or your mouse is on vacation.
Curious what yours would be?
Try it yourselfPortrait of a Sloth
Sloths move so slowly that algae grows in their fur, and they climb down from their tree only about once a week. They are not lazy; they are running an extremely energy-efficient lifestyle. An average of 400 milliseconds or more puts you in the same peaceful lane, and you wear it with dignity.
Honest note: most healthy people react faster than this, so a Sloth score is usually a sign that something else was going on. Touchscreen delay, a Bluetooth mouse, a busy browser, a sleepy evening or a very interesting conversation in the background can all stack up. Confession time: you probably looked away right when the screen changed. We have all been there. Some of us live there.
Strengths
- Zero false starts: impossible to rush
- Peaceful presence in any group
- Deliberate, thoughtful decision-making
- The most room to improve, so the biggest glow-up
Blind spots
- Often distracted or tired during tests
- Hardware lag may be eating your time
- Takes a while to switch into action mode
Where it shows up
You are the calm one who never makes a rash call, which is underrated. If you want a better number, retake the test on a computer with a wired mouse, close other tabs, sit up, and keep your eyes locked on the box. Many Sloths jump two or three tiers in a single sitting.
